Noreen Cross

Hello, my name is Noreen Cross and I am honored to serve as the Finance and HR Manager at Scw'exmx Tribal Council. I bring a wealth of expertise in financial management and human resources, coupled with a deep commitment to supporting our community's growth and well-being.

With over 40 years of experience in finance, I've developed a strong foundation in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance. As Finance Manager, I oversee all financial operations of the Scw'exmx Tribal Council and it's departments, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory requirements. My goal is to foster financial stability and sustainability, maximizing resources to better serve our community members.

In addition to my financial responsibilities, I also serve as the HR Manager, where I am dedicated to nurturing a positive and inclusive workplace culture. I oversee all aspects of human resources, including working with our department managers with recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training and development. I am committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization, recognizing that our strength lies in our diverse perspectives and experiences.

I am passionate about integrating Indigenous heritage, traditional values and practices into our organizational culture. I believe that honoring cultural heritage is essential to building a resilient and prosperous future for generations to come.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, gardening, traveling and soaking up the sun, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the well-being and prosperity of our community.
